Creating an account with SwapTrade is the first step to access our trading. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to sign up and set up your SwapTrade account.

Step 1: Visit the SwapTrade website

Go to the SwapTrade official website (https://www.swaptrade.io) using your preferred web browser. Signing up is only available via the website and not the app.

Step 2: Click on ‘Sign Up’

Find the ‘Sign Up’ button, located in the top-right corner of the homepage, and click on it.

Step 3: Register your email address

First, enter your email address. You will get a temporary password. Use that password to verify your email address. Find the temporary password in the email you entered and use that.

Step 4: Change temporary password

A registration form will appear, asking you to reset your password. First, put in the email you used to sign up, then enter a strong, unique password. Make sure that your password is more than 12 characters and a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

Step 5: Set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

For an extra layer of security, we require the setting up of two-factor authentication (2FA) on your SwapTrade account. After changing your temporary password, you will be prompted to set up 2FA. Please follow the instructions to enable 2FA using an authenticator app.

Step 6: Login to your account

You have now set up your account! You may now log in using the details you used during the above registration process.

Step 7: Complete your profile

To use all features of the SwapTrade platform, you need to complete your profile by providing personal information such as your name, date of birth, and country of residence. Some features might also require Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, in which you need to submit identity documents like a passport or driver’s license.
